Autism Spectrum Quotient AQ- Adult

Free Online Adult Autism Test Questionnaire & PDF. This free online test for Autism screening test is self reported and can be taken by male or female adults. Adult Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) Adolescent is a self-administered questionnaire used to measure autistic traits in the adult. This test consists of 50 statements and you can also download the PDF version. AQ Test is a formal test used to measure the cognitive abilities of an individual created by Simon Baron-Cohen, the test is for adults (16 and up) with average or higher intelligence and to assess an individual’s ability to reason abstractly, solve problems, and remember information.

Some questions are too broad to be answered with a simple ‘agree’ or ‘disagree.’ Some questions are based on outmoded autism notions. The AQ test is not a diagnostic tool, but it can give you a good idea of whether or not you might be on the autism spectrum.

Scoring:

● The scoring range is 0–50
● Critical score: 26
● Scores of 26 or higher indicate the possibility of autism
● Lower scores indicate that you are likely not autistic, as 79.3% of autistic individuals score 32 or higher.
● Most non-autistic males score 17 on average
● Most non-autistic females score 15 on average
● You can take the exam using one of two scoring methods: Automated-scoring & Self-scoring

The AQ only gives you a single score, so it doesn’t tell you much about how autistic you are. If your score is 26 or higher, you have autistic traits. The higher your score, the more autistic traits you have.
